Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Shanghai

Welcome to the magical metropolis, Shanghai! Upon your arrival today, your guide will meet you outside the customs of the airport and then transfer you to the hotel in downtown. The rest of the day is free for you. You can either rest in the hotel to recover from jet lag or venture out to explore the neighborhood.

Overnight: Shanghai

Day 2 Shanghai

Visit the Shanghai Museum to admire ancient bronzeware, jade, paintings, and Ming–Qing artifacts. Then explore the elegant Yu Garden, a classic Jiangnan-style garden, and stroll through the lively Yuyuan Bazaar.

In the afternoon, take a one-hour Huangpu River cruise for views of colonial buildings on the Bund and modern skyscrapers like the Shanghai Tower. Afterward, enjoy a walk along the Bund and visit Tianzifang, a creative hub of boutiques and cafes in old Shikumen alleys.

Try local noodles at Fu He Mian Guan · Fu He You near Kunshan Huyuan Road. Known for rich flavors and generous toppings.


Overnight: Shanghai

Day 3 Shanghai to Suzhou by High Speed Train

Take a one-hour high-speed train to Suzhou, where you'll be transferred to your hotel for a short rest. Then head to Tongli Water Town, a picturesque village of ancient buildings, stone bridges, sampans, and peaceful canals dating back to the Song Dynasty.

Continue to the Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou’s most renowned classical garden and twice the size of Shanghai’s Yu Garden. Centered around water, its pavilions, halls, and corridors reflect original Ming-era architecture and evolving styles over centuries.

End the day with a rickshaw ride through Suzhou Old Town, admiring traditional white-walled, grey-tiled houses nestled among lush greenery.

Day 4 Suzhou to Hangzhou by High Speed Train

Take a high-speed train to Hangzhou and meet your guide at the station for a hotel transfer. After a short rest, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on West Lake, followed by a visit to the scenic Red Carp Pond. In the afternoon, explore Lingyin Temple and the nearby Feilai Peak, where over 400 Buddha carvings are hidden among mossy rocks.

Try Hangzhou cuisine at Zhao Fu Si Chu on Hefang Street. Don’t miss the famous Braised Dongpo Pork paired with Peach Blossom Wine. Afterwards, take a leisurely stroll along the historic street.

Day 5 Departure from Hangzhou

💴 Currency: China's official currency is RMB (CNY). Download Alipay before arrival for mobile payments. Do not carry cash exceeding ¥20,000 RMB (or equivalent) when entering China.
🌐 Internet: Set up a VPN service in advance to access global websites.
🔌 Voltage: China uses Type A/C two-pin plugs with 220V voltage. We provide universal adapters—no need to bring your own.
🌡️ Climate (May–June): Guilin: 18–29°C (summer clothing recommended). Sichuan: 12–18°C (pack a jacket). Wear sports shoes/outdoor attire. Forgot something? No worries—China has affordable malls everywhere.
Time Zone: China follows GMT+8. The first half of the itinerary is leisurely paced for easy adjustment.
